§ Order Book · 01 · The Measure

The Measure.

Scoped assessment · Fixed fee

The front door to all of it. We measure your integration surface, your data shapes, your policy posture, and the patterns worth cutting — then hand you a written read and an honest call.

In plain terms: a paid AI readiness assessment that ends with a build-vs-buy call you can defend.

Cut something bespoke, buy off the rack, or some of each. With us or without us.

The Measure is the only offering in the Order Book that ends with no obligation to commission anything else. The deliverable is a written read of your environment and a shortlist of the cuts worth making — scoped, fixed-fee, and explicitly built to be useful whether or not we ever do another engagement together.

“A shortlist of cuts, a build-vs-buy call you can defend, and which of our offerings (if any) actually fits.”

What we measure.

  • 01

    Integration surface

Where does your data actually live? Which systems hold the record? What shape is the API — and what shape is the spreadsheet that someone is quietly maintaining by hand?

  • 02

    Data shapes

The documents, the transcripts, the SOPs, the legacy exports. The agent library works on real inputs, not on a demo corpus — so we measure yours.

  • 03

    Policy posture

What's allowed to leave, and through what path. Who approves. Where the examiner sits and what they ask for. The perimeter shapes the deployment; this is where we draw it.

  • 04

    Patterns worth cutting

Which of the four shapes — supplier survey, RFP response, institutional knowledge, document pile — is the real one? And which on the rack is closer than it looks?

The honest call is the deliverable.

A Measure that recommended one of our offerings every time would not be a Measure; it would be a proposal with extra steps. The deliverable is a defensible read on what to do next — and that read includes buy off the rack from someone else and do nothing yet where either is the right answer. We will not pretend otherwise to keep a sale alive.

If the cut that fits is one of ours, the next step is a Commission — the forward-deployed build. If it isn't, you still leave with a shortlist and a build-vs-buy call your board will accept.

Questions we hear.

What does The Measure produce?
A written read of your integration surface, your data shapes, your policy posture, and the patterns worth cutting. A shortlist of cuts, a build-vs-buy call you can defend, and which of our offerings (if any) actually fits. The deliverable is decision-shaped, not deliverable-shaped.
Do we have to commission a build afterward?
No. The Measure is explicitly built to be useful whether or not we ever do another engagement together. The honest call includes "buy off the rack from someone else" or "do nothing yet" where either is the right answer. We will not pretend otherwise to keep a sale alive.
How is it priced?
Fixed fee, scoped before work begins. The point of fixing the fee is that the deliverable is a defensible read on what to do next — not a billable-hour exercise that ran long.
